Martindale SP79 Class 2 Sound Level Meter

The Martindale SP79 Class 2 Sound Level Meter can measure sound from 30dB to 130dB across three separate operating ranges: 30dB to 90dB; 50dB to 110dB; and 70dB to 130dB. It has a maximum dynamic range of 60dB and the Class 2 microphone picks up sound with frequencies between 20Hz and 8kHz. Frequency weighting can be set as A or C whilst response time can be set as fast or slow. Readings are accurate to ±1.4dB meaning that the meter can be used for Noise at Work risk assessments in offices and industrial environments.

Results are shown in decibels on the Martindale SP79’s LCD display alongside a dynamic analogue bar graph display which updates ten times a second. Operation via the simple push buttons and intuitive menus is extremely straightforward and it is possible to mount the sound meter on a tripod for longer term min/max monitoring. AC and DC outputs allow more detailed recording.

Weighing just 185g and with a battery life of 60 hours, the Martindale MARSP79 is ideal for carrying around and measuring noise exposure throughout the day. It comes supplied with detachable wind muffler and hard carry case.
