Martindale VIPDLOKPRO138-S Safe Isolation Kit

The Martindale VIPDLOKPRO138-S Safe Isolation Kit is a complete locking off kit for ensuring that circuits are safely isolated during maintenance. It consists of a Martindale VI13800 Voltage indicator, PD440 proving device, locking off devices, warning tags, multi-lock hasp, padlock, marker pen and carry case.

Checking for voltage is an important part of the safe isolation process and the Martindale VI13800 Voltage Tester is an ideal tool for this. The two-pole detector can detect AC/DC voltage from 50V to 600V with LED indicators showing when potential increases above 50V, 100V, 200V and finally 400V.

To ensure tester accuracy, a compact Martindale PD440S Proving Unit is supplied with the kit. As part of a safe isolation procedure, prove the performance of a two-pole voltage tester by introducing both poles to the corresponding terminals. The instrument will then provide a continuous 440V, 50Hz voltage supply, this output will last for up to 10 seconds or less if the probe tips are removed beforehand.

Ten different locks are supplied in the kit with various colours, sizes and shapes for correct locking off in different situations. Specialist locks include a cartridge fuse isolation lock, plunge locking piece, and appliance plug lock. A padlock with a unique key furnishes the user with an additional layer of security by preventing accidental removal of the lock.

For instances where multiple electricians are working on the same installation, a hasp is provided which can take up to six additional locks alongside the original. There is a similar cable lock off with twelve separate locking points.

Five ‘equipment locked off’ tags allow the user to inform passers by that work is being carried out and a marker pen is provided so that the user can write on a projected finish time and his/her initials.

Everything comes supplied in a handy Martindale TC68 soft carry case.
