The Megger AVO835 Cat IV 600V Digital Multimeter is an industrial multimeter suitable for professionals in the electrical, servicing, technical and engineering sectors. It can measure a wide range of electrical parameters including AC/DC voltage (1000V), AC/DC current (10A), resistance (50MΩ), conductance (60nS), capacitance (20mF), and temperature (-20˚C to 300˚C). It has a basic accuracy of ±0.1% and boasts phase rotation testing, diode testing and continuity testing.

The Megger AVO835 has a high frequency filter to prevent interference over 800Hz, ideal for work on variable speed motor drives. 10MΩ and 10kΩ switching allows the user to instantly detect unintentionally coupled ghost voltages. Further safety is provided by non-contact voltage detection that gives a visible and audible warning.

The display on the Megger AVO835 combines an analogue arc with clear digital readouts. Display and auto hold are available, as are min/max/average recording and a smoothing function that helps maintain a stable reading when readings are fluctuating rapidly. The testing function is selected using the clearly labelled dial and a set of push buttons activate the other features. Both manual and autoranging are available.

An over voltage category rating of Cat IV 600V Cat III 1000V certifies that the Megger AVO835 is suitable for use in industrial settings and an IP54 ingress protection rating means that the multimeter is highly resistant to dust and water ingress.

The Megger AVO835 comes supplied with test leads, a type K thermocouple and batteries. It has a three-year guarantee when registered for free on Megger’s website or a one-year warranty as default.
