Megger MIT2500 Insulation and Continuity Tester
The Megger MIT2500 Insulation and Continuity Tester is designed for testing electrical installations where operational voltages exceed 1000V and where higher insulation resistance test voltages are required.
Featuring fixed test voltages of 50V, 100V, 250V, 500V, 1000V and 2500V providing measurements ranging up to 200GΩ , the Megger MIT2500 also utilises a variable mode that allows test voltages between 50V and 999V to be programmed in 1V steps, and voltages between 1kV and 2.5kV to be programmed in 10V steps. PI and DAR measurements can also be performed with the MIT2500 as part of a preventative maintenance schedule.
Similar to other newer insulation testers within Megger’s range, the feedback controlled insulation test voltage is accurate to +2% -0% compared to the original +20%, ultimately providing an accurate test voltage whilst also reducing the risk of damaging electrical/electronic components.Continuity measurements can be carried out across a range of 0.01 to 1.0M Ω, with an auto null allowing a resistance of up to 10Ω to be zeroed prior to testing. Furthermore, the Megger MIT2500 insulation tester will also conduct bi-directional continuity tests that allows for a reversal of polarity without switching test leads around. The continuity test current can also be selected to 20mA or 200mA, depending on the test application.
CAT IV 600V approved, the MIT2500 is also sealed to IP54, providing a weatherproof case to reduce the chances of water ingress, including the battery and fuse compartment. Rubber over-molding combines a shock absorbing outer layer with excellent grip
Revised Bluetooth and pairing procedures have made the MIT2500 very easy to pair with a Bluetooth activated device, allowing for easy data download in CSV format which can be opened as a Excel spreadsheet.
