The light, robust Megger OTS60SX/2 Semi Automatic Oil Test Set is suitable for on-site testing of the dielectric strength of oil. It can work with a range of mains supplies and weighs just 17kg so it is easy to transport and then use in the field. With a maximum output of 60kV, the set can be used on the oil in a large range of electrical devices including transformers, circuit breakers and more.

Semi-automatic operation means that the Megger OTS60SX/2 is incredibly easy to use as there is the choice of a range of voltage-rise rates, as required in many national standards and tests can be started at the push of a button. The tester will automatically remove voltage in the event of oil breakdown and then display the value. The user also has the option of pausing the test voltage. Results are displayed on a clear LED display.

The distance between the two electrodes is user-adjustable via an external nut whilst everything is designed to be easy to clean and maintain. A spacing gauge is provided to help set the electrode gap. In addition, a range of vessels and three types of electrode (spherical, mushroomoid, and cylindrical) can work with the Megger OTS60SX/2 so the user has lots of choice.

The entire Megger OTS60SX/2 Set is designed to be resilient and safe, from the sheet steel casing to the polycarbonate window for the high voltage chamber. A mesh screen allows the operator to witness oil breakdown as well as reducing electro-magnetic emissions. A further safeguard is provided by the interlock on the chamber door.
