Metrel MI3290 GP Earth Analyser

The Metrel MI3290 GP Earth Analyser is a sophisticated instrument that is ideal for testing the earthing facilities on pylons and residences. It can perform earth testing using a range of methods including two-, three- and four-pole testing, Wenner and Schlumberger methods; tower passive one rod testing (with a flex clamp); tower FOP testing (with flex clamp); and mono-tower FOP testing. It is therefore suitable for both mono- and multi-leg pylons.

The Metrel MI3290 GP has a wide frequency range that is ideally suited to extensive earth testing. The range goes from 55Hz up to 15kHz and it is possible to sweep across the entire frequency range during a single test or use selected single or multiple frequencies. A high frequency filter helps prevent interference from electrical noise in order to preserve accuracy.

The 3.4” colour touchscreen on the Metrel MI3290 GP clearly displays results in both numeric and graphical formats. It also allows the operator to use the earth tester via the intuitive menus, although navigation buttons are available as well. Results can be saved to the 1GB internal memory and then exported using a USB cable or via wireless Bluetooth connectivity. Supplied Metrel ES software facilitates analysis, reporting and data transfer.

The Metrel MI3290 GP can work from its own batteries or from the mains so it is suitable for a range of different settings. These include challenging fieldwork thanks to the IP54 ingress protection rating when open and the IP65 ingress protection rating when closed. Accessories in the Metrel MI3290 GP Set include a flex clamp with a 5m shielded cable, a G clamp, test leads, and test probes.
