Protimeter Hygromaster 2 Humidity and Temperature Meter

The Protimeter Hygromaster 2 Humidity and Temperature Meter deploys a multitude of different methods for measuring air and surface temperature in addition to ambient relative humidity (RH) and even equilibrium relative humidity (ERH) in concrete depending on the user’s chosen accessory kit.

The hygrometer measures temperature from -20˚C to 80˚C via non-contact infrared surface temperature measurement. It is also compatible with the optional BLD5805 contact surface temperature probe which can measure temperature from 0˚C to 70˚C with increased accuracy.

In terms of air temperature, the Protimeter Hygromaster 2 tester can take readings from 0˚C to 50˚C using either the Hygrostick provided in kit BLD7750 or the Quikstick provided in kit BLD7751. The difference between the two probes is in RH measurements where the Hygrostick measures between 30% and 100% whilst the Quickstick measures between 1% and 100%.

The Quikstick is recommended for general measurement whilst the Hygrostick is more suited to high RH measurements in harsher environments such as ERH concrete floor measurement.

In addition to these measurement functions, the Protimeter Hygromaster 2 tester can calculate surface proximity to dew point in addition to various other psychometric calculations. It can also be used to investigate dew point and condensation conditions.

The Protimeter Hygromaster 2 has a user-friendly interface with intuitive menus and simple navigation buttons. It can store up to 8000 measurements on its internal memory with a time-and-date stamp. It comes supplied with carry case and batteries as standard whilst you can choose between the Hygrostick and Quickstick sensors by selecting the correct kit in the drop down menu above. A two-year warranty is provided by the manufacturer.
