Testo 835-T1 Infrared Thermometer

The Testo 835-T1 Infrared Thermometer measures surface temperature from -30˚C to 600˚C via a non-contact infrared sensor with a distance-to-spot ratio of 50:1 which allows accurate temperature measurement even from a distance, thus permitting safer measurement of very hot surfaces. With accuracy of ±1˚C/1% and resolution of 0.1˚C, the thermometer has multiple applications across several sectors such as monitoring wall temperature, troubleshooting on heating/air conditioning, and quality control in manufacturing.

In order to maintain accuracy over distances, four-point laser guides clearly show the measurement area so the user can see where a temperature reading is taken from. The Testo 835-T1’s optics mean that the thermometer will have a 10cm measurement spot from a distance of 5m and the ergonomic pistol design makes it very easy to direct. Integrated emissivity measurement gives the user maximum accuracy in all circumstances.

For instances where non-contact measurement alone is insufficient - for example when measuring very low emissivity surfaces or air/liquid temperature - the Testo 835-T1 can also take a type K thermocouple connection to measure temperatures from -50˚C to 600˚C depending on the thermocouple used. Please note that the thermocouple must be purchased separately.

The Testo 835-T1 has an intuitive menu which is easy to navigate thanks to clear icons and a joystick cursor. The minimum, maximum and average readings from the measurement spot are shown on the backlit screen alongside the battery life, emissivity level and time. It is possible to save up to 200 readings and 20 emissivity levels to the thermometer’s internal memory. PC software can be downloaded for free in order to analyse results.

Several accessories are supplied as standard with the Testo 835-T1 including a free software download, three AA batteries and a manufacturer’s calibration protocol. It is compliant with EN 61326-1:2006 and has a 25-hour battery life.
