The Testo 865 is an entry level thermal camera is an excellent camera for basic applications such as detecting leaks, overheating components, thermal bridges and sturcutral defects thanks to its 160 x 120 pixel thermal sensor that measures temperature from -20˚C to 280˚C. It has a large 2.8GB internal memory which can save thousands of images.

The Testo 871 is a higher-spec thermal imager with a 240 x 180 pixel thermal sensor that measures temperature from -30˚C to 650˚C. This increases the range of possible applications in the electrical and HVAC sectors. The camera also has a 2.8GB internal memory but benefits from additional wireless connectivity to the Testo Thermography App, the Testo 605i Thermohygrometer and the Testo 770-3 Clamp Meter.

The Testo 869 Thermal Imaging Camera is an easy-to-use, accurate and sensitive IR thermal imaging camera which has several different applications. Principle uses include mechanical inspections, building inspections, heating inspections and electrical troubleshooting.

The high-resolution 160 x 120 pixel screen has fixed focus and a wide 34º field of vision so images are immediately clear and the user gets a good idea of the temperature distribution throughout an object. The 9Hz refresh rate ensures a smooth, real time picture. The camera itself also allows for detailed and accurate inspection thanks to its 19,220 temperature measurement points which permit differences of less than 120mK to be shown on screen. The display of critical temperature conditions means that hot and cold spots are automatically recognised.

The 869 is the lightest thermal imaging camera in its class (550g) making it easy to hold, transport and use. Furthermore, images can be saved in .jpg format for later analysis whilst the product comes with PC software to help you analyse the saved pictures. The 1.6GB internal storage has enough space for over 2000 pictures so memory capacity is not a problem. Battery life is also nothing to worry about because one charge provides four hours of scanning. The Testo 869 therefore offers a simple, precise and accurate way of remotely and quickly assessing a whole range of objects across a range of sectors.
