Safety is at the heart of the TPI 717R Flue Gas Analyser Kit 4 as it contains a TPI 719 Gas Leak Detector which builds on the safety features of the TPI 717R Flue Gas Analyser. The TPI A740 infrared printer and two CK21M pipe clamp temperature probes also facilitate quick, in-depth inspections.

The TPI 717R can measure a range of important parameters including oxygen content, carbon monoxide level, temperature and pressure. Differential temperature and pressure modes allow the user to compare values on input and output pipes for more sophisticated analysis. In addition to normal measurement parameters, the analyser can also perform timed tightness/let by tests as well as measuring ambient CO and assessing CO build up in a room. Finally, it is also possible to calculate carbon dioxide levels, CO/CO₂ ratio, efficiency and excess air.

The TPI 719 Gas Leak Detector can sense several different organic gases and has a sensitivity of just 30ppm for methane. It gives both visual and audible warning of the presence of gas, thus making sure that the user is always aware if a hydrocarbon gas is present. This supplements the carbon monoxide detection function on the TPI 717R which keeps the device on when dangerous CO concentrations are present.

The TPI 717R displays results on its backlit digital screen alongside the time and date and a serial number. Up to 100 data sets with time stamps and serial numbers can be saved to the analyser’s internal memory and the infrared printer can wirelessly communicate with the analyser to print out results on site. A countdown to the next service due date is flashed up on screen to help the user keep the device maintained.

The flue gas probe supplied with the TPI 717R Kit 4 has water and dust filters to prevent harmful ingress into the analyser and it is further protected by rubber boot casing. TPI provide a six-year warranty with the analyser - subject to regular servicing - and one charge provides energy for six hours of operation.
