Tramex Concrete Coatings Kits
The Tramex Concrete Coatings Kits are supplied with either a CME5 Concrete Moisture Meter or a CMEX5 Concrete Moisture Encounter X5. The analogue CME5 and digital CMEX5 are designed to provide rapid, non-destructive accurate moisture content measurements. Suitable for solid floors including concrete and screed, each kit comes complete with several accessories for enhancing tester functionality.
A non-destructive device, the Tramex CME5 Concrete Encounter Moisture Meter performs tasks fully in line with ASTM F2659. It includes a concrete moisture content range of range of 0% to 6%, equivalent scales for anhydrite screed (0 to 1.9) and equivalent scales for concrete screed (0 to 4).
- Measures concrete moisture content up to 6%
- Non-destructive device
- Carbide Method moisture content equivalent for Concrete 0 to 4
- Carbide Method moisture content equivalent for Anhydrite 0 to 1.9
- 20mm approximate (3/4") depth of penetration
The Tramex CMEX5 Concrete Moisture Encounter X5 however is a non-destructive unit which utilises Gravimetric testing as a baseline. Specifically for concrete floors and slabs, it provides precise and swift quantitive measurements of the moisture content within a range of 0 - 6.9%. For cementitious substrates, the meter provides Carbide Method (CM) equivalent readings alongside comparative readings also as per ASTM F2659. The CM measuring range for concrete is 0 - 4.3 while the Gypsum floor screed range is 0 - 12.
- Measures concrete moisture content up to 6.9%
- Non-destructive device
- Moisture counter for wood 5 to 30%
- Comparative moisture content equivalent for Gypsum floor screed 0 to 12
- Carbide Method moisture content equivalent for Anhydrite 0 to 2.7
- Carbide Method moisture content equivalent for Concrete 0 to 4.3
- Relative Humidity range of 0 → 99%
- Humidity accuracy of 0% → 99%RH +/- 2% @ 25°C / 77°F
- 20mm approximate (3/4") depth of penetration
The Tramex Concrete Coatings Tech Inspection Kit comes complete with an additional Tramex DL-RHTA Feedback Datalogger. Suitable for long-term monitoring of air temperature and relative humidity, it has a relative humidity range of 0 to 100% RH and an air temperature measurement range of -40˚C to 125˚C. With enough space for 100,000 different data points this temperature and humidity data logger can connect to a smart device via internal Bluetooth at a range of up to 50m. Furthermore, it is possible to measure temperature and humidity via an external plug-in sensor and contact temperature via another external probe with a range of -30˚C to 80˚C.
- Measures air temperature in a range between -40˚C to 125˚C
- Includes a humidity range of 0 to 100% RH
- Impressive internal memory of 100,000 data points
- Connects to Tramex Feedback DataLogger App
Applications
It is important to make regular moisture content measurements throughout the drying period of a new or existing concrete floor (or floor screed). This ensures that the floor has reached a sufficient aridity in order to accept treatments, adhesives or final floor material. Furthermore, it also important to identify moisture related problems and determine when sealants are required.
Problems associated with moisture within concrete
Unnecessary moisture content within concrete floor slabs and screeds can lead to a multitude of problems across all types of floor coverings such as degradation of adhesion, delaminating of the floor covering, condensation, blistering, movement and deterioration of the covering.
Featured Accessories
App available for Android and iOS
Visualise readings and send data through the Tramex Meters App available for free and compatible with both Android & iOS devices. GeoTag test results, create, save and share photos, reports & charts, as well as see your meter screen on your smartphone when extending to hard to reach places.
CTP Contact Temperature Probe
For use with the FeedBack DataLoggers, a plug-in accessory probe for measuring and logging surface temperature over time. It can also be used to identify dew point circumstances.
IRT2 Infrared Thermometer
A handheld, dual laser, non-contact Infrared Thermometer with 12:1 distance to spot ratio and audible and visible high/low set point alarms. Useful for measuring & displaying surface temperatures within a range of -50°C to 650°C (-58˚F to 1202˚F), it features an accuracy of approximately 1 to 1.5%
E5-HBS Extension Handle
Built for use with the Tramex CME5 and CMEX5 moisture meter, this accessory performs tasks in high places, or low to the ground as the extendable handle also reduces the need for crouching or kneeling. The handle has a Min. length of 30cm and Max. of up to 80cm.
