Fluke T150 Voltage/Continuity Tester

The Fluke T150 Voltage/Continuity Tester is Fluke’s top-of-the-range two-pole voltage tester and detects voltage from 6 to 690V in addition to performing resistance measurement between 0 and 1999Ω and carrying out continuity testing. Other options for assessing electrical circuits include switched-load RCD testing and single-pole phase testing whilst a phase rotation indicator helps the user work out phase sequence in three-phase systems. Test results, including indications of detected voltage, are conveyed to the user via a range of media including vibration in the hand, a bright LED bar-graph display, and an audible buzzer.

The LED display gives a notional voltage for voltage and the buzzer sounds when continuity falls within set limits but the user can also use the Fluke T150’s integrated LCD screen to see exact readings for both voltage and resistance (0 to 1999Ω). This therefore means that the T150 functions as both a voltage detector and a voltmeter. Data hold allows the user to freeze readings on screen for further convenience. Current type for voltage is automatically detected by the device and relayed to the user via the LED display whilst high voltages trigger the warning light, thereby improving safety. The T150 automatically switches to voltage measurement mode if voltage is detected whilst the quick response time (<0.5s) gives the user near-instantaneous results.

The Fluke T150 has an integrated torch for working in poor light and the WearGuard insulation highlights damage to test leads. It is rated as Cat IV to 600V and Cat III to 690V whilst a self-test function safeguards accuracy. The T150 constitutes a very accurate voltage detector with several useful additional features.
