The EZYPAT Plus allows contractors to carry out PAT testing without relying on a mains supply for standard testing functions. When connected to a suitable 230V or 110V supply, it can also perform run and leakage tests, allowing equipment to be assessed under normal operating conditions. This is particularly useful for handheld appliances and power tools, helping users verify correct operation alongside routine electrical safety checks.

The tester also provides a range of core functions required for practical PAT testing, such as a 200mA continuity test current that is safe for use on IT equipment. Where required, the continuity test duration can be extended to five seconds. Insulation resistance testing is available at both 500V and 250V, with the lower test voltage suitable for testing surge-protected extension leads and sensitive equipment. Additional functions include substitute leakage testing, polarity checking and a test lead null feature that compensates for lead resistance to improve measurement accuracy.

Testing results are easy to interpret on the backlit LCD display, which provides clear visual status indications. A flashing green display shows a PASS result, while red shows FAIL and blue confirms that a run test is in progress. Clearly labelled controls provide automatic test sequences for Class I appliances, Class II appliances and extension leads, helping streamline repetitive testing work.

The EZYPAT Plus is also compatible with the KEWPAT app, giving users the option to store test information and generate reports digitally. This can make it easier to keep testing records organised and produce documentation for completed work. The tester can perform approximately 1,400 to 1,500 tests from a single set of batteries, helping to minimise downtime during busy testing schedules. The Contractors Kit includes a range of accessories to help users get started straight away, including an IEC adaptor, PAT certificate, two rolls of 500 PASS labels, 250 PASS wrap labels, 200 FAIL labels and 250 Tuff Tag Cable Wrap Labels. A dedicated test-meter kit bag keeps the tester and accessories together, making the complete setup easier to transport from one job to the next.
