Metrel A1532XA Electric Vehicle Charging Station Adaptor

The Metrel A1532XA EV Adaptor is a compact, lightweight instrument designed for EVSE construction and testing. This version of the adaptor is compatible with 3-phase load testing up to 13A and alternate error types such as PE open. Alongside supported Metrel installation testers, the A1532XA is used to verify electrical safety and the functional testing of EVSE. When testing Mode 3 EV supply equipment with a type 2 connector, if used in conjunction with Metrel AutoSequences, the complete EVSE charging station can be tested (state-by-state) electrically and functionally with the simple press of a button.

With banana socket outputs, the Metrel A1532XA is easy to connect to 3-phase installation testers. For simulating the presence of an EV cable and detecting current rating, a Proximity Pilot resistance option is included with the adaptor. Alternatively for simulation of electric vehicle status the A1532XA also features a Control Pilot resistance selector. Fault simulation of Diode short, PE-CP short and PE open is built-in as is an output BNC connector for CP signal monitoring. A socket for connection to a 1-phase installation tester (Phase 1, Neutral, PE) is included in addition to a Type 2 Male Plug connector for connection to EVSE.

The Metrel EV adaptor supports a functional test, EVSE Auto Sequence and 6 mA EV RCD testing. Utilising the Metrel Electrical Safety Manager Software, the A1532XA can be utilised to create professional station-based reports.
