The Metrel MI3155 Eurotest XD Multifunction Tester is a powerful MFT that is suitable for a number of specialist applications on both single- and three-phase systems. In the EU Set, the MFT comes supplied with a range of additional accessories that allow full use of the tester’s features, such as advanced software and current clamps.

Regarding its varied applications, the Metrel MI3155 is suitable for use on electrical installations, mobile generators, high- and low-frequency systems, switchboards & machinery, medical systems, EVSE points and more. The loop impedance test is capable of four-wire tests on live transformers, three-wire testing and two-wire testing. The Trip Lock RCD function prevents tripping. Both impedance and RCD testing benefit from automated testing.

Four-wire, 200mA continuity testing is available and the 7mA test is suitable for PE conductors as it does not trip RCDs. The insulation test automatically tests between L-N, N-PE and L-PE with voltages between 50V and 2500V, polarisation index and dielectric absorption ratio.

The Metrel MI3155 provides automatic testing sequences for TT, TN/RCD, TN, and IT systems but it is possible for the user to create their own with the Metrel ES Manager Pro software licence provided in the EU Set. EVSE testing is possible with an optional A1532 Electric Vehicle Charging Station Adaptor.

The intuitive, menu-drive interface of the Metrel MI3155 makes it easy to operate despite the extremely advanced functionality. The large colour touchscreen displays readings and status during testing as well as providing access to the operating system whilst push buttons trigger the most commonly used functions including tests.

Metrel 8800 mAh Battery Pack

In the Metrel MI3155 EU Set, the multifunction tester comes supplied with an 8800 mAh battery pack rather than the standard 4400 mAh pack found in the standard version. This provides a greater operating life for use on larger sites where suitable power supplies might not be immediately available, for example construction sites, on vehicles and outdoor staging sites.

Metrel Current Clamps

The Metrel MI3155 EU Set comes supplied with two current clamps for use during stakeless earth testing. Firstly, the A1018 can measure current up to 1000A making it suitable for low range and leakage current measurement. It has a 52mm clamping diameter and 1.5m cable. Secondly, the A1019 also measures up to 1000A with a 52mm clamping diameter and enables earth resistance measurement in conjunction with the Metrel A1018.

Metrel ES Manager PRO Licence

The Metrel ES Manager PRO software package provided in the Metrel MI3155 EU Set enables some of the advanced features on the Metrel MI3155 MFT and boasts sophisticated analysis, recording and reporting functions for a multitude of applications.

Metrel aMESM Android App

Suitable for Android smartphones, the Metrel aMESM App communicates with the Metrel MI3155 via Bluetooth and allows the user to manage data on their phone and send information back to HQ before even leaving a site. It also allows creation of a site and client database alongside the addition of pictures, video and voice recordings to test data.
