Seaward PrimeTest 100 Contractors PAT Testing Kit

The Seaward PrimeTest 100 Contractors PAT Testing Kit is centred around the battery-powered handheld Seaward PrimeTest 100 PAT Tester, which allows users to move quickly between appliances without needing to connect it to a mains supply.

Updated for the 5th Edition of the IET Code of Practice and compliant with BS EN 50699, the tester provides the core testing functions required for checking a range of electrical equipment. It includes pre-programmed test sequences that allow users to quickly test Class I appliances, Class II appliances and mains leads, along with manual test modes that provide greater control when individual measurements are required. The tester can perform earth continuity, insulation resistance and substitute leakage testing, with selectable 250 V or 500 V insulation test voltages, user-selectable earth continuity limits, long-lead testing and Class II functional earth testing.

Operating it is simple, thanks to a three-button interface and clear LCD display showing both measured test values and PASS/FAIL results. The pre-programmed test sequences help users quickly select the appropriate test routine, while Seaward's ZAP technology is designed to provide reliable earth continuity measurements where surface contamination, such as rust or limescale, could otherwise affect results. Connecting the PrimeTest 100 to a mains outlet also allows users to check mains voltage and socket wiring, adding useful functionality for routine electrical safety checks.

The included accessories in the Contractors Kit are a PAT Certificate Pad, IEC adaptor, PASS and FAIL labels, and Tuff Tag Cable Wrap Labels, which all make documentation and the identification of tested equipment easy and straightforward. Everything is supplied in a test meter kit bag, keeping the tester and accessories together for easier transport between testing locations.

For users who want to combine portable testing with digital record keeping, the PrimeTest 100 is compatible with Seaward’s free PATMobile App. Test results can be transferred to the app alongside barcode scanning, photo tagging, label printing and reporting, providing a convenient way to build and manage electronic test records.
