The Megger DLRO100 Series of digital low resistance ohmmeters are a comprehensive range of 100A ductors designed for multiple purposes. The range comprises of three instruments, each instrument available as solely a mains powered unit or a Li-ion battery powered model suitable for more portable requirements; note the battery option can be selected from the drop-down selection facility above.

The DLRO100EB is the entry level model within the DLRO100 series range. Featuring an output current of up to 100A, the instrument can perform measurements ranging between 0.1µΩ and 1.999Ω, perfect for an array of testing applications including:

• OEM defect tests of high voltage electrical components and switchgear
• Switchgear and circuit breaker contact resistance
• Busbar and cable joints
• Wire and cable resistance
• Lightning conductor bonding
• Railway rolling stock ground connections
• Railway lines and conductor rails
• Aircraft frame bonds and static control circuits

Featuring three test modes, the DLRO100 can be operated in manual, auto and continuous configurations. Manual mode allows for simple, one-off tests to be completed by pressing the ‘test’ button for each measurement. In auto mode, the user selects the desired test current, connects the current test leads and as soon as the potential leads are connected a test will start automatically. When the potential leads are removed, the test will stop until they are next remake contact. In continuous mode, the user connects the test leads and presses the ‘test’ button. The instrument will continue to record measurements until the ‘test’ button is pressed again, or until the test times out.

All of the instruments within the DLRO100 series are CAT IV 600VAC/500VDC safety rated with IP54 protection against dust and water ingress whilst testing. The testers also boast an electrical noise filter that provides stable readings at very low resistances, even in noisy environments such as electrical substations. Complete with a large, back-lit and clear LCD screen, the DLRO100 is suitable for operation in low light conditions.
