Testo 830-T2 Infrared Thermometer
The Testo 830-T2 Infrared Thermometer has a non-contact temperature measurement range that goes from -30˚C to 400˚C with an accuracy of ±(1.5˚C +1.5%) and a resolution of 0.1˚C. Infrared readings are taken twice every second and the thermometer has a 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio. Emissivity can be adjusted between 0.1 and 1 in order to compensate for different surface types, thereby maintaining accuracy.
The ergonomic pistol design of the Testo 830-T2 makes it very easy to use and it has twin laser pointers that show precisely where the measurement is being taken from. The thermometer has a clear digital screen that offers the user min/max readings and a data hold function for freezing a reading on screen. Adjustable alarms can be set which will sound when limits are exceeded.
It is also possible to use a type K thermocouple to measure temperature with the Testo 830-T2. It has a contact measurement range of -50˚C to 500˚C with ±(0.5˚C + 0.5%) accuracy and 0.1˚C resolution. A manufacturer’s calibration certificate and batteries are supplied as standard with the instrument and it has tough ABS housing.
A type K thermocouple is supplied in the ‘Set’ option alongside a useful leather pouch to protect the thermometer. This spring-mounted cross strip thermocouple is ideal for performing control measurements and taking readings on low-emissivity surfaces. Upgrade to the 'Set' option by clicking the checkbox above.
