FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera

The FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera is the next step after the FLIR E54 in the rugged, handheld FLIR Exx-Series. With this instrument, an operator can improve plant reliability and avoid unnecessary downtime through routine inspection. As overheating equipment is often difficult to spot with the naked eye, the E76 offers vibrant thermal imagery to help manufacturing and facilities inspectors diagnose issues, begin repairs & prevent equipment failures. With a series of interchangeable AutoCal™ lenses featuring a telephoto, standard, and wide-angle field of view, inspect electrical systems safely, survey large targets quickly & check machines for signs of failure. Featuring a 320 x 240 pixel thermal detector and a thermal sensitivity/NETD of <30mK at 30˚C (86˚F), measures temperatures accurately up to 650˚C (1202˚F).

With the FLIR E76 and its vast list of professional diagnostic features, engineers can find, fix and document problems swiftly. Alongside 6 colour palettes, 3 spotmeters and a FLIR-Screen EST mode the E76 model includes an optional temperature range of 1000°C (1832°F), Ultramax mode, laser-assisted autofocus and 3 area measurement boxes. Improve image contrast & draw attention to potential issues using FLIR 1-Touch Level/Span and display Max/Min temperatures live on screen. GPS tags are automatically added to images whilst voice annotations are added via either the built-in mic or Bluetooth connection. Other features included a 5MP digital camera with an incorporated LED Photo/Video lamp, Picture-in-Picture mode and 1-4x digital zoom.

Featuring a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection, the E76 Thermal Imaging Camera includes a USB 2.0 port, DisplayPort & laser distance meter. This instrument is METERLiNK enabled to ensure compatibility with other FLIR devices and features a removable SD memory card. Storage modes include Visual, MSX®, Picture-in-Picture, Gallery & an Infrared mode where JPEG files with all of the measurement data attached can be saved. The E76 boasts a 640 x 480 pixel 4" LCD touchscreen display with auto-rotation and comes complete with its hard-wearing carry case & cable set: USB 2.0 A to USB Type-C, USB Type-C to HDMI and USB Type-C to USB Type-C.

FLIR Thermal Studio & FLIR Inspection Route

The FLIR Exx-Series including the E76 all come equipped with the exclusive FLIR Inspection Route feature automatically enabled within the device. Designed to guide an operator along a pre-approved route through numerous locations, organising inspected data with the relevant captured images. Initially created in FLIR Thermal Studio (with the Route Creator Plugin installed), the route is then exported to the camera for swift inspections, rapid post-processing and streamlined reporting.

Compatible with E76, this state-of-the-art analysis & reporting software is designed to assist in managing thousands of images and videos. The FLIR Thermal Studio Suite is offered in three versions - Starter, Standard, and Pro - and is fully compatible with all cameras which generate images in radiometric JPG format. Build a route which maximises efficiency, including as many inspection targets as needed within the FLIR Thermal Studio with a plugin installed.

The route is then downloaded to the FLIR E76 camera, allowing thermographers to follow their own created routes as they inspect large numbers over a day. By utilising these pre-defined routes, data can be collected in a structured manner aiding in the seamless organising & importing back to the FLIR software for analysis. Ideal for batch processing use this software to ensure nothing is missed, the organisation is at peak efficiency and no time is wasted carrying out inspections.

FLIR AutoCal™ Interchangeable Lenses

The FLIR E76, E86, and E96 cameras are compatible with all FLIR interchangeable AutoCal lenses. Automatically recognising a new lens and launching an auto-calibration program, the camera negates the need for servicing during a switch. There are several different lens options available:

  • 14°, 29mm Telephoto lens: Includes a narrow field of view for precise focus & crisp imaging of distant targets.
  • 24°, 17mm Standard lens: Featuring a 24° × 18° field of view which allows users to remain a safe distance from potentially hazardous equipment while still capturing sharp details on smaller targets.
  • 42°, 10mm Wide-Angle lens: With the largest field of view for imaging buildings, roofs, or other areas where gathering the most information in a single image is crucial.

The FLIR E76 is available in seven different models as detailed in the table below, choose the right option for you from the drop down menu.

FLIR MSX Technology

The Multi-Spectral Dynamic Imaging (MSX) feature of the FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera creates crisp, vibrant imagery only obtainable with FLIR's patented technology. For enhanced detail and perspective, the MSX option incorporates visual detail and embosses it directly over the full thermal image. In this format components become so clear that even a label becomes readable, providing an immense advantage when attempting to identify the context and issue of the thermal problem.
