Building on our extensive thermal camera, MFT and PAT testing options, we will now hire out a wide variety of extremely powerful, specialist equipment for cable testing, relay testing, temperature calibration and much more.
High Voltage and Utility Test Equipment
Our high voltage and utility test equipment hire category has been completely overhauled and populated with new sections for different aspects of HV industry. We now provide test sets for AC/DC dielectric withstand testing, insulating oil degradation and performance testing, and relay testing, thus allowing the user to check that insulation is in adequate condition (including on transformers) and to measure the performance of relays in high-voltage environments such as substations.
The cable test equipment hire fleet consists of a range of instruments from manufacturers including B2, Seba and Megger. The hirer has the option of several different cable fault locators which detect problems within the cable itself whilst there are also instruments that can detect damage to cable insulation or identify cables. Finally there is specialist equipment for cable spiking and cable height measurement in addition to time domain reflectometers. The other sections of the updated HV hire fleet consist of battery load testers, circuit breaker analysers, ductors and live line testers.
Area Network Test Equipment
A new area network test equipment section has been added to the Test-Meter hire fleet. It includes test equipment for both copper LAN and fibre optic cables with numerous sophisticated measurement options such as optical loss and distance measurement. Additionally, a time domain reflectometer can be used for fault location and it is also possible to hire a Fujikura 70S Fusion Splicer which has a rapid heat splicing system for cables up to 60mm in diameter.
Process, Calibration and Pressure
A large new process, calibration and pressure category features instruments designed to calibrate processes that use mA signals as well as calibrating instruments that measure pressure, flow and temperature. Our portable liquid and dry block temperature calibrators can easily be used to perform calibration on site. They come with varying temperature ranges for calibrating different instruments. Our process calibrators simulate, source and measure current from 0 to 24mA to make sure that industrial processes are functioning as designed. We hire a range of pressure calibrators for mid- to low- pressure systems including very low pressure mechanisms and magnehelic gauges whilst also stocking a range of smart communicators.
