The BAUR PGK25 DC High Voltage Tester is a mobile, compact and versatile high-voltage tester with negative polarity. Expertly designed for the testing of paper-insulated mass-impregnated cables and electrical equipment in medium-voltage networks, the tester is able to perform tests that can meet a wide variety of standards, which are:/p>

  • On-site testing of paper-insulated, mass-impregnated cables: EEE 400-2012 and IEC 60060-3
  • Voltage tests on electrical equipment: IEEE 62.2 and IEEE 95
  • Cable sheath testing: IEC 60502 / IEC 60229 and VDE DIN 0276-620/621

On top of this, the PGK25 has an in-built ammeter with five measurement ranges, which span from 1µA to 10mA, as well as a timer which can set times between 1 minute and 30 minutes. It is also able to conduct voltage measurements directly at the HV output and features two continuously variable DC voltage ranges, which are 0 to 5kV and 0 to 25kV.

The PGK25 is able to switch off automatically at the end of testing, with a discharge resistance that is designed for maximum discharge energy of 5000J. The tester also includes a switch-on interlock, and is optimised for mobile applications. Powered by a 12V rechargeable battery, it can also be powered using a 12V supply or mains supply.
