The FLIR Cx5 is an ATEX-rated thermal camera that allows safe inspection when working in hazardous environments. Certified for use in many challenging and explosive environments such as chemical, oil, gas and wastewater treatment facilities, the FLIR Cx5 removes the need for a hot work permit while making T-class surveys quick and easy.

The FLIR Cx5 is a 160 x 120 (19,200 pixel) thermal imager with a 3.5 inch touchscreen display making it simple and intuitive to use. Boasting an accurate temperature measurement range of -20ºC to 400ºC and thermal sensitivity at 70mK, the FLIR Cx5 also features 1-Touch level/span functionality, allowing the user to choose a small area of focus with one touch of the screen.

FLIR VividIR™ and MSX™ Technology

The FLIR Cx5 allows the user to capture high-quality thermal images and identify targets easily using two of FLIR's trademarked technologies. Utilising multiple image frames together, VividIR™ technology delivers a sharper thermal image, while MSX™ technology combines visual and thermal images for further clarity and visual detail, without sacrificing any of the thermal data within the image.

While its compact size makes it perfect for pocket storage, the FLIR Cx5's durable IP54-rated casing conforms to restricted breathing and dust protection standards and even features an LED work light - seated behind an impact-resistance lens - making light work of difficult-to-reach areas or low-visibility conditions. Featuring a 4-hour battery life, the FLIR Cx5 also has a clear battery indicator giving the user a prolonged timeframe to complete inspections or diagnostic and trouble-shooting applications without the need to recharge.
