BAUR Protrac Digital Audio Frequency Set
The BAUR Protrac Digital Audio Frequency Set, used in conjunction with the Baur Shirla, allows for the tracing and pin-pointing of fault and joints with audio frequency, and offers the user convenient and extremely flexible operation thanks to the wireless capabilities of all the supplied accessories. Thanks to the latest technologies, finding the location of the fault is simple, and maintains fantastic accuracy for results that can be relied on. The user is able to achieve flexible frequency selection for any situation, ensuring it is a leading instrument for audio frequency location. With a 3D history track for the accurate and simple location of short-circuit faults and joints, and easy handling where no manual alignment of the supplied AFP is required, the Protrac Digital Audio Frequency Set is a must-have for fault location. The BAUR Protrac Digital Audio Frequency Set utilises audio frequency, and is one of multiple BAUR sets, which are as follows:
- The BAUR Protrac Complete Digital Pinpointing System
- The BAUR Protrac Acoustics Digital Pinpointing System
- The BAUR Protrac Audio Frequency Pinpointing System
- The BAUR Protrac Tracing Set
The BAUR Protrac Digital Audio Frequency Set is a high-precision system designed for accurate fault location and cable route tracking. Central to this system is the CU Control Unit, which provides intuitive, user-friendly navigation using both acoustic and visual cues to help users accurately locate cable faults and follow cable routes. The system also includes 3D operating guidance, enhancing the precision of fault pinpointing. The CU Control Unit offers flexibility by functioning with or without headphones, thanks to its integrated loudspeaker. When used with headphones, the sound levels are limited to 85 dB(A), adhering to safety regulations such as EC directive 2003/10/EC, ISO 1999:1990, and OSHA 1910.95(c)(1). This ensures compliance with workplace noise exposure standards, safeguarding users' hearing while maintaining effective fault location functionality.
The AFP Audio Frequency Probe
The AFP Audio Frequency Probe is used in conjunction with the Control Unit and an audio frequency transmitter in order to locate cable routes, cable faults, and joints. The core element of the AFP is a 3D space coil, with three coils arranged in x, y, and z axes. This ensures that all the signals from the coils can be displayed on the Control Unit and displayed in real time. Essentially, the AFP creates an all-in-one system with a wide range of application options. A visualisation of the tracing data is shown on the Control Unit, with 3D-History Track ensuring that the location of faults and joints are saved. Pre-set frequencies are also available, with the user receiving maximum support thanks to a frequency search function. The entire frequency range of the audio frequency probe can be displayed, either unfiltered or filtered, which ensures that the Audio Frequency Set is a smart investment.
