Castle GA2002 Pocket Vibration Meter

The Castle GA2002 Pocket Vibration Meter measures acceleration from 0.1 to 1000ms-2 (0.1 to 100g), velocity from 0.1 to 1000mms-1, and displacement from 1 to 1000µm. Frequency can be weighted to between 10Hz and 1kHz via the mechanical filter and between 10Hz and 10kHz via the linear filter. These measurement capabilities make the meter suitable for a range of different applications such as bearing vibration monitoring, verifying monitoring system accuracy, and checking vibration against environmental limits.

Readings are taken through the Castle KD1001 accelerometer which is included alongside the vibration meter and can be attached via the flexible cable. Readings are shown on the one-line digital display and the Castle GA2002 is capable of assessing multiple variables (RMS, Lmax, Lpeak, Lav) for each parameter. A simple datalogging function allows the user to save up to 9 data points in the meter’s internal memory.

The Castle GA2002 is a pocket-sized instrument weighing just 250g so it is an extremely practical piece of kit. It comes supplied with an accelerometer, accelerometer cable, magnetic mount, small spike probe and carry case.
