Castle GA216B SONUS Class 2 Sound Level Meter

The Castle GA216B SONUS Class 2 Sound Level Meter can measure acoustics between 35dB and 140dB over three different ranges: 35dB to 100dB; 55dB to 120dB; and 75dB to 140dB. The Class 2 microphone offers a reading resolution of 0.1dB and can capture sound between 20Hz and 8kHz in frequency. It is suitable for spot checks on alarms and initial checks for Noise at Work risk assessments.

There are two options for frequency weighting (A or C) and response times (slow or fast) and the Castle GA216B is capable of simultaneously measuring both true RMS average volume (Lp) and peak volume (Cpeak). The meter can also measure maximum sound level (Lmax).

The one-line digital display on the Castle GA216B shows numeric readings in addition to time elapsed, overload and battery life. The meter is incredibly simple to use thanks to its simple push-button operation and menu interface.

The Castle GA216B weighs just 220g and can fit easily into a coat pocket. The ABS plastic casing is very tough and, overall, the meter is extremely practical.
