Castle GA257L SONUS Datalogging Sound Dosemeter

The Castle GA257L SONUS Sound Datalogging Dosemeter is a personal dosemeter that can measure noise from 70dB to 140dB over a single 70dB linear range. Various aspects of sound can be measured including sound level pressure (Lp), continuous level (Leq), peak, noise dose percentage, and noise dose per hour. The user can select A, C, or Z frequency/peak weighting and the meter has dual-channel measurement for simultaneously monitoring two separate variables.

Readings are displayed on the Castle GA257L’s eight-digit single-line display in %, dB, or Pa2h and the instrument is operated via a clearly-labelled keypad. As a datalogging instrument, the dosemeter has internal memory with space for around 2100 readings and these can either be recalled to the screen or downloaded via USB using supplied dBdataLITE software.

Like all Castle SONUS instruments, the GA257L has been designed to fit in the user’s pocket and is has a sturdy plastic construction. It meets standards including IEC 61252 : 1993 and BS EN61252 : 1997 + A1:2001 and comes supplied with dBdataLITE software and a data download cable.
