Castle Personal Noise Dosemeter Kit

The Castle Personal Noise Dosemeter Kit contains a Castle GA257B Industrial Dosemeter, a Class 2 sound level calibrator and a carry case. Its main purpose is to allow employees to measure their personal noise exposure dose throughout the day in order to safeguard themselves from noise-related ill health. Two different versions of the kit - containing either one or five dosemeters - are available, thus allowing noise exposure measurement for a single or multiple employees.

The Castle GA257B Industrial Dosemeter can measure sound between 75dB and 140dB at frequencies between 20Hz and 8kHz, thus covering the sound range most damaging to human hearing. Simultaneous measurement of personal sound exposure (LEpd) and peak noise (Zpeak) give the two most important aspects of noise when it comes to safety and the meter can even offer a projected LEpd figure for an eight-hour period. Readings are given in % dose, dose per hour, dB or Pa2h on the one-line display.

A Castle GA601 Class 2 Sound Level Calibrator produces a single 94dB tone at 1kHz which enables the user to assess the accuracy of the dosemeter. The half-inch microphone cavity allows the tone to be accurately transferred to the microphone without any outside interference.

Everything in the Castle Personal Dosemeter Kit is supplied in a handy attaché case which varies in size depending on whether the user selects the kit with a single dosemeter or multiple dosemeters.
