Chauvin Arnoux CA6524 Insulation Tester

Suited to insulation testing on industrial installations, the Chauvin Arnoux CA6524 Insulation Tester has an extremely high resistance measurement range (200GΩ) and multiple test voltages (50V, 100V, 250V, 500V, 1000V) which gives the user flexibility when measuring degradation or ageing in industrial insulation. Continuity tests are possible with this megohmmeter whilst the instrument also boasts multimeter functions such as voltage measurement (700V), frequency measurement (800Hz), and regular resistance measurement (1kΩ).

A timer can be set to measure insulation resistance over a certain period and record the results to the Chauvin Arnoux CA6524’s internal memory which has space for up to 300 readings. Other advanced measurement functions include PI / DAR ratios which prevents temperature affecting assessment of insulation quality whilst relative measurement provides a more in-depth picture insulation performance. An adjustable alarm can be set to sound when resistance is too low and I leakage testing is also possible.

The Chauvin Arnoux CA6524 is a very practical megohhmeter. It has a magnetic mount for hands-free use and the backlit screen shows figures very clearly as well as displaying an analogue bar graph. Operation is performed via a simple dial and push-button interface and the tester is supplied with test leads, crocodile clips, a carry case and a remote control probe. The safety rating is Cat IV 600V and there is a 24-month warranty from the manufacturer.
