Chauvin Arnoux CA832 Sound Level Meter

The Chauvin Arnoux CA832 Sound Level Meter is capable of measuring noise levels from 37dB to 130dB across three dynamic ranges (37-80dB; 50-100dB; 80-130dB). Readings are accurate to ±1.5dB and have a precision of 0.1dB whilst two weighting curves (A, C) allow the user to account for sound frequency, for example to measure the frequencies most prominent in the human hearing range. The user can also set a slow or fast response time.

Readings are shown on the Chauvin Arnoux CA832’s digital screen alongside the dynamic range and various other factors. The screen has a back light for use in poorly lit environments and there is also a maximum value storage function that saves the reading. Operation is undertaken via a series of push buttons and it is covered by a shockproof case for use in challenging conditions.

A tripod insert allows the Chauvin Arnoux CA832 to be installed to monitor readings over a long period of time and it is compatible with IEC 651 Type 2 standard. It is supplied with a foam microphone cap, screwdriver, male Jack connector, assembly screw for photo stands, 9V battery and operator’s manual.
