Chauvin Arnoux L411 Current Datalogger

The Chauvin Arnoux L411 Current Datalogger is a compact, cost-effective solution designed to accurately record and monitor electric current on feeders, lines or single-phase circuits. It features an integrated 3000A AC Miniflex captive sensor with a diameter of 100mm and a 1.2 m cable, allowing it to fit into tight spaces. This makes it effective in detecting variations and anomalies in current flow which is perfect for troubleshooting, load analysis, and system performance assessment.

The L411 offers a single measurement channel with a wide current measurement range from 0.5 to 3000 A AC and also supports frequency measurements. A backlit LCD display makes it easy to view data in different lighting environments while the large 8 GB memory is able to store extensive measurement data. With a fast acquisition speed of one measurement per second and customisable aggregation interval of between one and sixty, users can record detailed and accurate data and also monitor it based on the application.

Included with the L411 is the Datalogger Transfer software which makes data processing and management easy. This powerful software allows users to retrieve and visualise recorded measurements in graphical or tabular formats and export data directly to Excel for further analysis. The software also supports real-time monitoring, configuration of measurement parameters such as current range and frequency, and password protection to secure device settings.

One of the standout features on the L411’s is connectivity as it functions as a remote sensor for current measurements. The L411 can be used in a number of applications, one being with the built-in Wi-Fi that operates in two modes; either connected to a company network and directly accessed by a PC or smartphone or through the IRD DataView Synch server, where users can securely consult and download data from anywhere in the world. The other application is USB connection, which allows data download, device configuration, and full control even without wireless access. The embedded web server is another application which enables operation via any standard browser on Android or iOS devices, offering real-time display, trend recording, and multilingual configuration.

The L411 carries an IP54 protection rating and can withstand operation in temperatures that range from -20°C to +50°C. It meets 600 V CAT IV and 1000 V CAT III electrical safety standards, offering peace of mind when working on high-voltage systems. The L411 is powered by either three AA batteries or USB, giving users up to three days of recording without Wi-Fi. It remains lightweight at approximately 340 g, with an optional shock-proof sheath available for added protection.
