EA Technology PT1 Polarity Test Pen

The EA Technology PT1 Polarity Test Pen allows for the detection of electrical fields surrounding a live LV insulated conductor. By lighting up only within 3mm of the live core of a standard 3mm conductor, the PT1 discriminates between live and non live conductors even in bundles of cables.

The PT1 does not require current flow in the live conductor and works with all standard 220-250V and 50/60Hz supplies. Daylight LED illumination and an audible buzzer alert the user when an electrical field has been detected.

Battery powered using 2 x AAA batteries, the PT1 is a simple and small device that will fit easily in a users pocket or work bag thanks to its pen style construction.

EA Technology TPC1 Test Pen Checker

The TPC1 Test Pen Checker will instantly confirm whether the EA Polarity Test Pen is correctly working, by simulating the field produced by a live LV conductor.

Four simple function checks allow users to check the functionality of the polarity test pen:

  • Inserting a EA Polarity Test Pen in to the Test Pen Checker. Upon insertion, the unit will automatically power up and the test light illuminates
  • The PTP1 pen tip will light up and a buzzer sounds to confirm the correct functioning
  • Upon removal the Polarity Test Pen is ready for checking for live conductors
  • Retest the Polarity Test Pen to ensure the correct operation for 100% confidence
