ETI Standard Legionella Temperature Kit

The ETI 860-885 Legionella Temperature Kit is designed to help prevent legionella bacteria growth. The kit can be used to monitor the temperature in both standing water and surface pipes and tanks that form a water system. Using the included penetration probe users are able to test the temperature of  tap water.

Included in the kit is a number of useful contents for testing for legionella:

• 1 x 221-041 Therma 1 thermometer
• 1 x 323-046 waterproof surface penetration probe
• 1 x 133-372 heavy duty PTFE wire probe
• 1 x 830-037 zip pouch

The ETI Therma 1 thermometer has a temperature range ofbetween -99.9ºC and 1372ºC with a 0.1 °C or 1 °C resolution. The easy to read LCD screen has an open circuit "Err" and low battery indication and is housed in a robust lightweight ABS case containing Biomaster additive to reduce bacteria growth. The Thermal 1 is powered by 3 x AAA batteries with a minimum five years of battery life. The auto shut down after ten minutes of inactivity helps to maximise battery life which can be turned off by the operator. The included zip case adds further protection to the instrument.

Using the immersion probe at a minimum depth of 25mm and alongside the ribbon surface probe the temperature of pipes and tanks can be taken. The wire probe can also be used to reach hard to reach places or where the other probes are not appropriate. 

Current legislation from the Government Health and Safety Executive (HSE) applies to both hot and cold water systems. The ETI 830-837 allows any employer or persons with an easy solution to check hot and cold water systems to identify any contamination to prevent or control it.

Biomaster protection

The ETI 860-885 kit includes Biomnaster antimicrobial technology reducing the risk of bacterial cross contamination. The protection lasts for the lifetime of the product proving protection 24 hours a day every day. The Biomaaster protection is effective in reducing bacteria up to 99.99% and the growth of MRSA, E.Coli, Salmonella, Legionella and many more species.
