ETI Therma 1 Legionnaires’ Temperature Kit

The ETI Therma 1 Legionnaires’ Thermometer Kit features a thermometer and a range of probes and accessories that allow the user to test for legionella-friendly temperature conditions in artificial water systems. This is essential for minimising the risk of Legionnaires’ disease.

The ETI Therma 1 Industrial Thermometer is a versatile instrument capable of working with any standard type K thermocouple which allows it to be used for multiple applications. It has a temperature range of -99.9˚C to 299.9˚C and 300˚C to 1372˚C with a best resolution of 0.1˚C and an accuracy of ±0.4˚C. Readings are shown on the thermometer’s digital screen and it has a 10,000-hour battery life.

Three type K thermocouple probes are included with the ETI Therma 1 Legionnaires’ Temperature Kit. Firstly, an immersion probe is included which allows the user to measure temperature in water from -75˚C to 250˚C. It has a ø3.3mm x 130mm stainless steel shaft with a reduced tip and produces a reading in less than 3 seconds.

The second probe is a precision ribbon surface probe that uses flat ribbon technology to measure water pipe surface temperature with maximum accuracy. It has an ø8mm head and a temperature range of -75˚C to 250˚C.

Finally, the ETI Therma 1 Legionnaires’ Kit also contains a PFTE wire probe designed to measure air temperature from -75˚C to 250˚C. This has practical legionella-related applications when it comes to measuring ambient temperature in cold water storage tanks.

Other accessories supplied in the kit include a water resistant countdown timer, a tub of 70 probe wipes for maintaining cleanliness, an ABS carry case for the entire set and traceable calibration certificate for the thermometer.
