Extech 401025 Foot Candle/Lux Light Meter

The Extech 401025 Foot-Candle/Lux Light Meter accurately measures light levels in foot-candles (fc) and lux (lx) displaying brightness levels across three range settings:

  • Fc: low (0–200), medium (0–2000), and high (0–5000)
  • Lx: low (0–2000), medium (0–20,000), and high (0–50,000)

The Extech 401025 can detect small changes in brightness with a resolution of 0.1 fc or 1 lx and a ±5% accuracy. Its precision photo diode and a colour correction filter ensure that readings are consistently accurate, compensating for variations in light colour and angle. The meter is cosine and colour corrected and boasts a 13 mm LCD display.

Using a sliding switch, users can choose between fast or slow response times when taking quick or average readings of light levels. Additionally, the meter offers an analog output (1 mV per count), which allow users to capture and log readings to a recorder for a more in-depth light level analysis.
