Extech 45118 Mini Thermo-Anemometer

The Extech 45118 Mini Thermo-Anemometer is a compact, pocket-sized instrument that assesses HVAC systems, ventilation issues indoors and other applications by accurately measuring their air velocity, temperature and wind chill, displaying their readings on the built-in dual-line LCD display.

Air velocity on the 47118 can be measured in ft/min, km/h, knots, m/s, mph or Beaufort force, while temperature and windchill readings can be measured at a range of between -18 to 50°C (0 to 122°F). To ensure precise recording of fluctuating air conditions, users can choose averaging intervals of 5, 10, or 13 seconds and use the data hold function to freeze the most recent measurements on the screen for quick reference.

The Extech 45118 comes in a protective folding housing that extends 229 mm (9 inches) to use in hard-to-reach areas, is waterproof, floats and has been drop tested up to 1.8 m (6 feet). Additionally, the 45118 is tripod mountable for hands-free operation and comes with a lanyard for easy carrying. Powered by a CR2032 lithium battery (included), the Extech 45118 offers users up to 4,000 hours of operation time and features an auto power-off function that shuts it down after 15 minutes of being inactive to preserve power.

Please note: The thermo-anemometer is highly accurate at low to mid-range air speeds. However, continuous use at high speeds may wear down the impeller bearing, potentially reducing overall accuracy over time.
