The Extech 461891 High Precision Contact Tachometer provides fast and accurate measurements of surface rotational speeds in RPM, with an included accessory wheel that allows it to measure linear surfaces in feet per minute (ft/min) or meters per minute (m/min). With an autoranging functionality, the 461891 is capable of measuring ranges of 0.5 to 19,999 RPM for rotational speed as well as 0.2 to 6560 ft/min and 0.05 to 1999.9 m/min for linear speeds, offering an accuracy of 0.5% and sampling time of 1 second for speeds above 6 RPM.

The Extech 461891 has a compact and straightforward interface that allows users to simply touch the rotating object with the sensor tip and record readings, then use the memory button to hold the last reading or recall the minimum and maximum values displayed so they can track different speeds over time. Featuring a large, easy-to-read 5 digit LCD screen, the 46189 comes with everything needed for accurate measurements, including a cone tip, flat tip, spare wheel for surface speed measurements, four 1.5V AA batteries, a carrying case and a user manual.
