The Extech 461950 Panel Mount Tachometer is a highly accurate microprocessor-based instrument used to measure rotational speeds continuously from 5 to 99,990 RPM with a quartz crystal accuracy of ±0.05% + 1 digit.

Powered by 115/230 VAC at 50/60 Hz and housed in a compact panel-mountable enclosure, the 461950 features three high-resolution settings, each with its own measurement ranges to ensure clarity in both low- and high-speed applications:

• RPM resolution from 5 to 1,000 RPM
• RPM resolution from 1,000 to 9,999 RPM
• 10 RPM resolution from 10,000 to 99,990 RPM

On the large built-in 4-digit LED screen, measurements are updated once per second for RPM values above 60, making it easy for users to monitor data in real time. The 461950 tachometer reads RPM from a single-hole gear or disc, eliminating the need for special mechanical gear, and also detects pulses as ferrous objects as they pass the sensor.

Users have a choice of two types of enclosed sensor pickup types on the Extech 461950, both designed to be durable and supplied with a 1.8 m (6-foot) cable. The first is a proximity sensor that is designed with a sensing distance of 3 mm (0.1") and covers a measurement range of up to 36,000 RPM (600 Hz). And the second is a photoelectric sensor that is designed with a target distance of 10 mm (0.4") and covers a measurement range of up to 6,000 RPM (100 Hz).
