The Extech 461995 Combination Contact/Laser Photo Tachometer is a versatile measuring instrument that gives users the option to use either contact or non-contact measurement modes for measuring RPM and linear surface speeds.

In contact mode, the 461995 measures speeds from 0.5 RPM to 20,000 RPM using the included tips and surface speed wheel in units of feet per minute (ft/min) or metres per minute (m/min), while in non-contact mode the 461995 covers 10 to 20,000 RPM, allowing users to safely measure surface speeds from a distance of up to 2 metres (6 feet) away. The Extech 461995 is powered by a microprocessor with a quartz crystal oscillator that maintains highly accurate readings and offers an accuracy of ±0.05% and a 0.1 RPM resolution.

A standout feature on the 461995 is the large 5-digit LCD screen that automatically reverses the value readings depending on the measurement mode used, as well as the built-in data memory function that stores the last, minimum and maximum readings for quick analysis and reference.
