Extech AN250W Anemometer

The Extech AN250W Anemometer is a compact airflow meter for fast, repeatable checks of air velocity and air temperature in HVAC building maintenance work. It measures air speed from 1.5 to 30m/s (plus ft/min, km/h, mph, knots and Beaufort) and ambient temperature from -10 to 50°C, making it ideal for ventilation spot-checks, fan performance checks, and commissioning-style surveys where you need dependable numbers, not guesswork.

A large bright, backlit dual LCD shows key readings clearly on site, with max/average capture and a data hold function for logging results as you move between outlets and grilles. The AN250W also includes a tripod mount (standard ¼”-20) for steadier, hands-free monitoring when you’re measuring over time before/after adjustments.

Bluetooth connectivity enables the AN250W to link with the free ExView app on iOS/Android, allowing users to view live readings, monitor trends, and set high/low audible alarms. From the app, results can be exported as CSV files and PDF reports can be produced, with the option to include photos of the measurement location captured on a connected smartphone or tablet. This is useful for maintenance records, commissioning notes, and client documentation.

Part of the Extech 250W Connected Series, the ExView app can connect to up to eight compatible meters at once, so you can build a clearer picture of conditions across a plant room, workspace, or multi-point inspection.
