The Extech Heavy Duty Light Meter is an impressive handheld instrument as it features simultaneous display of Foot Candles or Lux alongside lighting type, such as Tungsten/Daylight, Mercury, Fluorescent and now Sodium. With a basic accuracy of ±4% FS, this reliable unit is further enhanced by a built in RS-232 interface and large 1.4 inch, 1999 pixel count LCD display.

Utilising precision photo diode and colour correction filters, the Extech Light Meter assures operators of maximum accuracy via an internal microprocessor and other such special functions. These include Data Hold, Min/Max/Average, “ZERO” Re-Calibration, Auto power off and a % reading of the differential from a chosen reference point. The versatile nature of the unit makes it suitable for a vast assortment of applications:

Interface Options

Compatible with this Heavy Duty light Meter, the optional Extech Windows® Data Acquisition Software and serial cable provides a method for users to set time intervals, alarms or display and capture readings on a PC. With an additional Datalogger module, this light meter can also store over 8000 readings for future transfer to a PC. Both the optional software and datalogging module must be purchased separately.
