With the ability to test up to 10kV on insulation resistance, the EXTECH MG500 Digital HV Insulation Tester is an essential piece of equipment for any engineer working on high voltage systems. Also featuring Polarization Index (PI) measurements, it makes for a more suitable test on motors or generators as it gives a more substantial reading as to the condition of the equipment.

This 10kV insulation resistance tester has a heavy duty industrial carrying case making it easy to transport around which also accompanies test leads, alligator clips and 8x C batteries. It also includes Enersave, which limits test duration to 10 seconds to save energy during tests. The EXTECH MG500 also has CAT III-300V safety category rating and can also perform a Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR) measurement. Also featured is Automatic Discharge of Capacitive and Inductive Circuits which will automatically discharge all circuits, charged by the tester, when a test is completed.
