The FLIR MR160-KIT2 Building Inspection Kit contains a number of useful tools to help bring to light hidden building issues such as moisture upon completing building inspections. Included with the kit is:

FLIR MR160 Imaging Moisture Meter

The FLIR MR160 Imaging Moisture Meter uses Infrared Guided Measurement technology that shows a user where to measure a problem thanks to the in built thermal imagine sensor.

When using the MR160, the user can quickly scan an area to identify thermal cold spots using the thermal imaging detector to locate areas of moisture. Following a scan, cold spots are highlighted using a blue colour pin a greyscale palette. The MR160 is capable of contact or non-contact measuring capabilities to obtain a moisture reading. Moisture measurements are obtained thanks to the integrated pin-less sensor (for non-destructive measurements) or the external pin proves for intrusive measurements. The inbuilt thermal detector boasts a 80 x 60 resolution with a 0.15ºC sensitivity. A built-in laser pointer and onscreen cross-hairs helps to locate the area viewed on screen accurately.

Images recorded, can be stored on the internal memory alongside moisture data and saved in FLIR Tools software, that enables professional reports to be generated.

FLIR C3-X Compact Thermal Imaging Camera

The FLIR C3-X Compact Thermal Imaging Camera included in the kit is a powerful professional inspection tool perfect for troubleshooting applications that can be used in maintenance, building, electrical repair, HVACr and more. As a three in one instrument with a true thermal imager, visual camera and bright LED, users can enlist identify hot fuses, air leaks, plumbing issues and other hidden problems. Measure temperature up to 300ºC, thermal sensitivity of <70mK, field of view of 53.6) and a thermal image resolution of 128 x 96 (12,288 pixels)

The C3-X boasts a 3.5 touch screen and includes an incorporated 5 megapixel visual inspection camera. Other features include; 4 colour palettes, access to FLIR MSX technology and a number ion image modes such as Infrared, Visual, Picture-in-Picture. The internal storage of the C3-X allows for up to 5,000 images to be stored, images can be enhanced manually or automatically with the adjust level and span features.

FLIR MR06 Wall Cavity Probe

The FLIR MR06 Wall Cavity Probe is a useful moisture probe designed to work with FLIR MR160 Imaging Moisture Meter. The probe allows the user to measure moisture levels within wall cavities and the interior face of an external wall. It comes with two sets of pins (2” and 4”) and a detachable BNC cord.
