FLIR Si2-PD Partial Discharge Acoustic Imaging Camera

The FLIR Si2-PD Partial Discharge Acoustic Imaging Camera is able to detect, locate, classify and assess partial discharge (PD) faults from as close as 0.3m up to a maximum of 200m away thanks to the 124 ultra sensitive acoustic microphones to instantly pinpoint issues. With on onboard camera and software based severity assessment, the Si2-PD is able to assess partial discharge issues and offers a PD type classification best in class decision support. Users are able to improve partial discharge detection and analyse results within electrical generation and transmission fields. The Si2-PD offers partial discharge detection over 5 thresholds from 20 to 100kHz with a bandwidth of 2-130kHz.

With one handed functionality, the Si2-PD includes a number of useful features such as; a 12MP digital camera with 8x zoom, automatic tuning and a 1280 x 720 pixel five inch colour touchscreen. Using the Si2-PD allows for the monitoring of transmissions and distribution conductors and components, whist also keeping repair costs to a minimum. Substations can be inspected for partial discharge to detect faults early to reduce dangerous and costly explosions.

The Si2-PD provides users with an on-device partial discharge type and severity analysis, as well as recommended actions. The Si2-PD is ideal for enterprise scaling through the fleet management functionality allowing managers to ensure equipment is being used and maintained correctly.

Find partial discharge issues in high voltage equipment with the Si2-PD to potentially reduce complaints from radio interference and audible noise. Dual LED lamps on the SI2-PD allows for work to be conducted even in challenging dark environments. A neck strap provides further protection and stability in the field when using the camera.

Users are able to annotations to image tags and comments with data transferable via Wi-Fi or USB with still images in both .nlz and .jpg formats. Videos up to five minutes in length can be formatted in .nlz. The Si2-PD. IP54 rated and provided with a carry case, ensuring the Si2-PD is protected both in the field and when transported or stored. Data can be stored on the internal SD card up to 128GB with unlimited cloud storage available with FLIR Cloud. Over The Air (OTA) software updates ensure your camera is always up to date via wireless update or USB connection.

FLIR Thermal Studio

The Si2-PD is compatible with the FLIR thermal studio, which enables the user to create professional reports and overlay acoustic and digital images. With the included Si-Series Plugin for FLIR Thermal Studio the user has support for automatic fault classification, severity indication and recommended action for utility inspections and as estimation of leak volume and cost savings for air leaks.

Si2-Series Online Acoustic Viewer

The FLIR Si2 series of cameras include the FLIR acoustic Viewer software allowing for the analysis and reporting of data with measurements and information transferred via Wi-Fi or USB. Using Acoustic Viewer, users are able edit and annotate images and a videos.

The Acoustic Viewer ensures equipmnent is fully utilised and maintained with data automatically shared amongst teams or management.
