Fluke 283 FC Solar Kit

The Fluke 283 FC Solar Kit provides users with the ideal kit for providing accurate, reliable and repeatable test results when working in DC environments up to 1500V to confidently work in higher voltage environments. Included in the kits isa a283FC wireless current clamp providing current measurement up to 60A AC/DC allowing individual strings with modules with greater accuracy , solar MC4 test lead set and and TL175-HV TwistGuardTM Silicone test leads.

Fluke 283FC Digital Multimeter

The Fluke 283FC Digital Multimeter is deigned for use in working environments up to 1500V CAT III and CAT IV 1000V to allow work in solar photovoltaic (PV), wind power, electric railways and data centres safely. The Fluke 283FC provides as number of electrical test measurements deigned to offer highly accurate, reliable and repeatable test results:

The 283FC features a dedicated limit gauge button where the user can turn on/off the limit gauge warnings or select previously used parameter profiles. With customised limits, operators can streamline troubleshooting allowing for quick identification of measurement deviations or errors helping to maintain the optimum solar installation performance.

The 283FC Digital Multimeter meets IEC 61010-2-032 safety standards to correspond to over voltage category level in the PV array electrical installations (IEC 61730-1). The backlit LCD display and illuminated keypad allow for work even in poorly lit working environments.

Fluke Connect™ with Fluke Cloud™ Storage

Flukes 283FC is compatible with both Fluke Connect™ with Fluke Cloud™ Storage. With connectivity the the Fluke Connect app, users are able to transfer test measurements straight from the 283FC to a smartphone or tablet for further analysis. Users are able to view trends and monitor measurements in real time from a phone screen and upload the measurements to the Fluke Cloud. Test measurements from multiple Fluke Connect enabled testers can be combined to create and share test reports straight from the job site via email. Users are able to collaborate with colleagues using ShareLiveTM video calls or email.

The Fluke 283FC features Flukes unique multimeter readiness self check, ensuring the multimeter is always in proper working order before the next reading is taken. The self-check allows the operator to gain valuable insight to the meter calibration, battery life, test lead functionality and AC/DC voltage measurement functionality ensuring the meter is always ready for use.

Including with the kit is the Fluke a283 FC True-RMS wireless current clamp is a valuable tool for simplifying troubleshooting processes without compromising safety or reliability. It measures both AC and DC currents up to 60 A, providing precise and reliable readings for various applications, including solar installations, electrical systems, and industrial equipment. Its non-contact design ensures safe connections without touching live wires, allowing you to close the clamp in a cabinet and take measurements from a distance. The CAT III 1500 V, CAT IV 1000 V rating matches the safety rating of the Fluke 283FC, to ensure safe operation. Wireless connectivity eliminates the need for tangled wires, allowing you to install the current clamp in an enclosure and measure from a distance. The clamp's thin jaw design provides easy access to combiner boxes and tight spaces, increasing measurement efficiency

The Solar kit includes the Flukes TL175-HV CAT III 1500 V/CAT IV 1000 V rated silicone TwistGuard test leads, and when used wih the Fluke 283FC gives the user more flexibility when testing voltage, milli-voltage, resistance, continuity, or capacitance on inverters, combiner boxes, PV arrays, or individual PV modules. Further useful accessories include the magnetic hanging kit which allows the operator to free their hands when testing and a hard carrying case to help protect the multimeter in transport and storage.
