Fluke 355 True RMS AC/DC Clamp Meter

The Fluke 355 True RMS AC/DC Clamp Meter is an adaptable clamp meter that can measure AC/DC current (0 to 2000A), true RMS AC current (0 to 1400A), true RMS AC voltage (0 to 600V), AC/DC voltage (0 to 1000V), and resistance (0 to 400kΩ). Further to these measurement capabilities, the instrument can assess Inrush current during start-up phases of motors and it features a low pass filter for filtering out anomalous readings when inspecting VFD (Variable frequency motor drives). The user also benefits from continuity testing with an audible buzzer.

The large jaw of the Fluke 355 (58mm) allows it to measure thick cables and several cables at once whilst an option for auto-ranging automatically picks the best range and resolution for the parameter under scrutiny. However, the user can also adjust the range manually. Min/max and average recording is also available through the simple min/max push button.

All readings are shown on the Fluke 355’s clear, backlit display and data hold allows the user to freeze results on screen. This instrument comes supplied with a soft carry case, test leads, probe tips, and crocodile clips whilst the portable design and simple dial interface mean it is straightforward to use. Simple bush buttons engage frequency mode, Inrush mode, low-pass filter mode and DC current zero. The 355 is rated as Cat IV to 600V and Cat III to 1000V under EN61010-2-032 and is also designed to withstand a 1m fall.
