The Hikmicro AD21P Indoor Water Leak Detector is a highly advanced acoustic detection tool designed to accurately locate hidden leaks in indoor plumbing systems across residential, commercial and public-sector buildings. One of the standout features on the AD21P is its SuperDetect technology which uses Hikmicro’s proprietary algorithm that intelligently analyses acoustic signals and visually highlights leak locations on the bright 7" LCD touchscreen. With four selectable digital band-pass filters, a wide frequency range of 150 Hz to 7,500 Hz, and up to 80 dB amplification, the AD21P clearly isolates leak sounds from background noise. The AD21P offers two practical inspection modes to suit different skill levels and workflow requirements:

  • Quick Inspection Mode – Ideal for experienced users who already know which area is affected and need to pinpoint the exact leak location quickly.
  • Route Inspection Mode – Designed for beginners or systematic inspections where users can evaluate multiple areas to narrow down the leak source, then switch to Quick Mode for accurate location.

For documentation, reporting and further analysis, the AD21P features built-in storage for images and audio recordings. Inspection data can be reviewed directly on the unit or transferred to a PC, making it an invaluable tool for maintenance logs, client reports, repair planning and verifying leak locations before opening walls or flooring.

Built for real-world conditions, the AD21P features IP-rated sensors (IP54 for the hand-held sensor, IP66 for the pick-up sensor), and a 1.2 m drop-tested main unit that ensures reliable operation in tough environments. The responsive touchscreen, 1024 × 600 resolution, and intuitive dual-wheel design allow for quick and easy parameter adjustments, even with gloves on.

The AD21P is powered by a long-lasting rechargeable battery, that can provide up to 11 hours of continuous use. It charges to 90% in about 3 hours and reaches full capacity in about 6 hours, making it ideal for full-day fieldwork. Additional safety features include active hearing protection, which automatically stops audio playback through the headset when dangerously loud noises are detected, thereby helping prevent hearing damage.
