The IPEC Flexible Ultrasonic Add-on Sensor is made for use with IPEC’s Partial Discharge Spot Testing Instruments to inspect and detect surface tracking and other discharge-related activity, even in hard-to-reach areas.

With a flexible probe head, the sensor can be squeezed into tight spaces and positioned in multiple directions without compromising on accuracy. Its ergonomic design ensures comfortable handling, while seamless integration with PD-SG series devices allows operators to view real-time diagnostic results during testing.

The sensor works by capturing the acoustic emissions generated by discharge activity. These high-frequency signals indicate the severity and extent of surface degradation, allowing maintenance teams to accurately assess the risk of flashover or insulation failure.
