Kewtech KT1700 Single Pole Voltage Detector

The Kewtech KT1700 Single Pole Voltage Detector provides first level protection against electric shock before working on potentially live metalwork. It works by making contact with earthed metallic parts such as distribution board enclosures, earth bonding and pipework, immediately letting you know if AC voltage is present before safe isolation or further work begins.

With a 50–600V AC detection range, the KT1700 gives audible and visual warnings when voltage above 50V AC is detected. This makes it useful for identifying live phases and helping to detect potential PEN faults and diverted neutral conditions that may otherwise present a hidden electrical hazard.

The KT1700 can be operated while wearing full PPE and features a robust IP54-rated construction for protection against dust and water ingress. A flashing blue LED and single beep confirm correct functionality, while the probe tip conforms to HSE GS38 recommendations. The detector also meets BS EN 61010-1:2010 safety requirements.
