The Kewtech KT5 Open Jaw Current And Voltage Tester is a versatile everyday instrument, ideal for electricians in need of simple voltage detection and accurate current measurements. Performing non-contact voltage tests with 3 levels of sensitivity this unit is capable of locating hidden cables, 2 pole testing or even single pole testing with either probe. Thanks to an open jaw feature, the KT5 also accommodates non-contact current measurements, allowing the user to detect open PEN situations. With three measuring ranges, 0 to 200A AC, 0 to 1000V DC & 0 to 1500V DC, the KT5 is a handheld, highly portably device suitable for any professional electrician kit.

Incorporating a wealth of useful options, the Kewtech KT5 boasts digital multi-meter functions such as a diode test and a frequency test. Phase rotation testing is built-in, as is a measurement hold feature and continuity test with customisable threshold. Along with bright LEDs, this tester utilises audible tones and both buzzer & vibration indicators to make voltage detection exceedingly easy and clear.

With permanent GS38 probe tips, when using the KT5 Current And Voltage Tester there is zero chance of covers becoming lost or impeding reach into the type of terminals typically found on devices such as RCBOs. For traditional UK BS1363 sockets, the probe tip cover uses a nose to depress the earth pin. The LCD display with optional backlight presents results in a comprehensive and easy to read format whilst the torch allows for operation in dimly lit areas. Rated IP54 and CAT IV to 600V, the tough casing of the KT5 is hard-wearing and includes a convenient probe storage located within the body itself.
