The Leica UTILIFINDER+ Cable Avoidance Tool is a simple to use instrument intended to support those who are at risk of striking buried infrastructure during digging or excavating. The potential for accidental damage to underground services is significant within many building and contracting industries, with personal injury, service disruption and additional cost being major concerns. This device is intended to be used without specialist knowledge, enabling located of buried cables and pipes up to 3m below ground.

The UTILIFINDER+ is easy to use and intuitive in design, with a large LCD screen indicating signal strength and other parameters. No calibration is required to ensure accuracy in detection and the rugged IP54 rated casing makes it shower proof and suitable for harsh on-site environments. These characteristics make the UTILIFINDER+ the ideal tool for building sites and excavation crews, requiring no training to use and possessing adequate robustness to servive drops and moisture ingress.

The UTILIFINDER+ can be enhanced with the addition of the UTILIGEN or UTILIDRAIN.

The UTILIGEN can be plugged into any household socket to apply a signal onto power cables. Use the UTILIFINDER+ to locate this signal and obtain depth readings for unseen cable networks with the press of a button.

As a submergible IP68 rated device, the UTILIDRAIN can be inserted deep into pipe and sewer networks. Used alongside the UTILIFINDER+, this can enable pipe system mapping and help locate troublesome blockages.
